Weapons:
1: ALL weapons and props, regardless of size or material, must be checked at Ops and approved by a committee member before they may be worn at the convention. NO exceptions.
2: NO live weapons. This includes, but is not restricted to: All metal blades, pole arms or other metal weaponry. Air Guns, BB Guns, Airsoft guns etc. Crossbows, Archery Equipment, other projectile weapons. And so on
3: Weapons and props constructed from lightweight materials such as cardboard, light plastic, foam etc. may be carried in hand but should not be wielded in an unruly or dangerous manner within the convention
4: As an addendum regarding cosplay costumes, please ensure that all parts of your costumes, protruding or otherwise, do not contain sharp or overly rigid edges, and will not run the risk of blocking or obscuring passage within the convention. if your cosplay is going to block the doors, don't wear it outside of the Skit contest.
5: also please no overly skimpy outfits keep in mind there will be children at this convention, we want this convention to be as family friendly as posable.
6: Please note that these guidelines are subject to change, and at the end of the day it is difficult for us to determine what props and weapons may be suitable until we see them on the day of the convention. Thank you for your cooperation.
The committee reserves the right to amend and update these guidelines at any point prior to or during the convention with or without the fore-knowledge of attendees in the risk of public and convention safety. Also, please bare in mind that under law, a hefty penalty and possibility of jail time awaits those who chose to brandish weapons in any public places.

Children at the Convention:
Ani-Aikoushi-Con is certain to be a fun family event. Ani-Aikoushi-Con wants to ensure the satisfaction and safety of all of our members, especially children. In order to safeguard the well being of our youngest attendees, Ani-Aikousha-Con has put these policies into effect and offers some advice when it comes to keeping track of children at a large convention.

Food:
the RMSC has a food place in its lower level, also we will have some food avalable, there will be designated areas where food will and will not be allowed, please adhear to these areas.

Smoking:
No smoking allowed in the Eisenhart Auditorium or 50 feet from the building. (For fire safety reasons)

Camera & Camcorders:
You are welcome to take lots of pictures and shoot some video. We just ask that you respect those around you and not film or take pictures of anyone who dose not wish to be on film.

GLOMP-ING:
Or "random hugging" is ok but only with permission from the victim. ^_^

Battling/ Mock Battling:
No hard physical contact!!!! if supervised by a staff member you can have "mock battles" for pictures or video scenes. However, no actual physical contact will be tolerated. We don't want any one to get hurt even if it's accidental.

Conduct:
There will be a lot of children around, so please keep the profanity to a minimum.
No fighting (real fighting) because you will be arrested. ^_^
Vandalism also will not be tolerated and will land you in jail and/or fined a lotta $ you probably don't have.
